Tim Fowler   Tim Faller of Westerly, RI, founded Field Training Services in 1999, a firm committed to training production staff in good job-site management and helping companies develop training programs for their field staff. For 12 years Tim worked as vice president of the new homes division at Hopkins & Porter Construction in Potomac, MD, where he started as Lead Carpenter, became Production Manager, and then helped begin the New Homes Division. Based on his extensive experience, Tim has conducted many successful lead carpenter training programs across the country.

His book, The Lead Carpenter Handbook: The Complete Hands-on Guide to Successful Job-Site Management was published in November 1998, and his Lead Carpenter Audiobook was published in October 1999. While at Hopkins and Porter Construction, Tim developed a training seminar for Lead Carpenters through the local NARI association that later became the basis for the NARI Certified Lead Carpenter Program. He has spoken extensively at seminars and trade shows across the country and in Canada, including The Remodelers Show, JLCLive, local NARI and Remodelers Council  meetings, and The Ontario Home Builders Association’s Builder and Renovators Forum. Tim is also a member of ExpertNet, a network of industry experts sponsored by Remodelers Advantage, Inc. in Laurel, Maryland. In July of 2007, Tim and 3 others, were asked to speak at the very first Remodelling Conference in Canberra, Australia, an event that was the forum for announcing the formation of a professional trade organization specifically for Remodellers in Australia.
